Just when I thought I was going to have to sit this month out on the Kids Were Here blog circle, this little treat appeared in the living room floor last night! I had just put the kids to bed when I came back in to find a grand mess and this dear letter amongst the litter. I'm pretty sure this was just a rough draft, but it's fun to know he's ready to get this Christmas show on the road! Now go check out what Lisa at Lisa Baldelli Photography captured!
I looked high and low for a collection of local business and their Small Business Saturday events and came up with nothing. The mission of this session was to capture four generations of women: mom, daughter, two granddaughters, and two great-granddaughters. That's a lot of ladies! The whole family has such a sweetness to them, making these smiles come natural. Kudos to the color coordinator in the family. Don't they look gorgeous in teal with the fall colors behind them?
When I first considered doing professional photography, I knew that somehow I wanted to offer my services to families that were dealing with a challenging life event and that would also be blessed by the gift of photographic memories. After reading up on several organizations that help coordinate photography services for families experiencing a variety of hardships and challenges, I narrowed it down to a few that spoke to my heart. I eagerly submitted the required applications and anxiously awaited their decisions.
Yesterday, I finally received my first response! I was accepted as a Tiny Sparrow Foundation Affiliate Photographer! What an honor. I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph this family! We go way back to middle school. And now they have kids almost in middle school - CRAZY! They were full of smiles and a delight to hang out with at one of the most beautiful parks around. The little man might not have wanted much to do with having his picture taken, but we managed to sneak a few in anyways. This one is, perhaps, my favorite.
