Can't wait to get the rest of her session edited! Thanks for being such an awesome teen model in RVA!
Got a fancy camera? Want to know how to really use it? Get yourself off auto mode and stop letting your camera make creative decisions for you. We'll explore elements of strong photographs and how to incorporate those elements in your own photography. You'll learn how to make thoughtful compositions, how to seek flattering light, and how to control aperture, shutter-speed, and ISO to create a better photograph! This class is the perfect present for the photographer in your family. Buying someone a new camera for Christmas? Help them make the most of it and sign-them up for the class (please let me know if it is a surprise gift so I can hold off on sending the particpant questionnaire until after they receive their present). Join me on January 10, 2015 for my second run of Creating Better Photos with Your DSLR on the campus of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. Requirements: DSLR camera with manual settings, memory card, fully charged battery - that's it! Register before October 31, 2014 and take advantage of the Early Bird Special! Got pictures? Lots of them? And no clue what to do with them now? Get your pictures off your memory cards and into memory books (or other special keepsake). We'll explore ways to upload photos and how to select the keepers to save hard drive space. You'll learn my flagging and tagging system to keep photos organized and easy to find. You'll learn basic editing techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance photos and recover under/over exposed images as well as basic cloning to remove distractions. We'll also discuss how to back-up your photos so that they are always safe (even if your house burns down). We'll discuss keepsake ideas and my favorite affordable vendors for keepsakes including photo books, photo albums, prints, wall art, and jewelry. Participants will bring a set of photos to work with and leave with photos ready to upload to their favorite album maker or ready to create a special keepsake.
